ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF THE CITY SCHOOL OF ARCITECTURE
On its 10th year of Inauguration, ForumCSA again celebrated its birth together with the 30th year of CSA at "The Stables- Park Street Mews" on August 2016, Attended by over 250 the event was a fitting commemoration of its decade of effort to CSA and its members.
In 2016 ForumCSA has embarked on an initiative to conduct Technical and drafting workshops for the part one students of CSA. Still in its infancy, the Alumni is re-structuring to provide a permanent annual programme to benefit the students.
Forum CSA, in a gathering of distinguished guests, launched the publication of architectural works of award winning Bangladeshi Architect Rafiq Azam The event was held at the Barefoot café
ForumCSA has held numerous events and fellowships throughout its decade. The events has felicitated its members and colleges in recognition of their works, bid farewell to some in their endeavors overseas and as well as promoted the interaction of CSA students with the membership and assisted several charities.
Archt. Nela De Zoysa being the first from CSA to receive the RIBA in 1997, invited President Sunand Prasad, RIBA president, to Sri Lanka that culminated with the visit of the expletory team of Architects from the RIBA. Forum CSA put in place an impresstve compilation of the works of the past students at the Henry Peiris gallery. Lionel Wendt and arranged the vistting Board chaired by Prof. Don Grey and the other Architects, Hon. Secretary Jim Lo, Cathy Gal, David Howeth and Ross Barr to visit the exhibition who were overwhelmed by the Architectural Practices
The inaugural meeting of Forum CSA was preceded by a grand " Celebratory Dinner " at the Taj Samudra, Roof Top Ballroom attended by 300 Alumni, Guests, and Well Wishers in December 2006. The "Celebratory Dinner" while fostering fellowship, initiated the first fundraiser with half a million rupees thus helping to secure Student Bursaries and books/DVDs for the CSA Library.
