The City School of Architecture (Colombo) Limited (CSACL), incorporated in 2008 July 25th is a Limited Liability Company registered under the provisions of the Companies Ordinance, Act, No. 7 of 2007.Shareholding in the company is restricted to members of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA), in the category of Chartered Architects, who are collectively entitled to 45% of the Shareholding. The balance 55% Shareholding is held in trust by the SLIA.

This shareholding mechanism ensures that ownership and governance of the CSA remains within the Architectural profession thereby guaranteeing that governance is in accordance with the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA) Charter ideals.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors is the Ex-Officio President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA). Three of the Board members are elected by shareholders on a rotation basis. Two members are nominated by the Trustees of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA), and serve at their time discretion. two ex-officio non-voting directors function as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Head of School (HOS) respectively.
