Prof. Snehal Shah's Guest Lecture

Prof. Snehal Shah, thank you very much for sharing your amazing experience with our staff and students. It is a privilege to have you here at City School of Architecture on 04th May 2023.

Prof. Shah, did his under graduation studies at CEPT University, Ahmedabad and his final year thesis was guided by Architect B. V. Doshi. Then he studied History and Theory Course at the AA, London under Roy Landau and Robin Middleton.

Then he worked with Architect Mario Botta at Lugano for two years. Before returning to India he completed his RIBA Part III course.

He started his practice in 1987 & has done several institutional & corporate projects here and abroad. He has been a professor at CEPT University since 1987 and has lectured here and in Europe, US and Asia.

He has written and edited several books on Architecture, which includes a major publication made on his 25 years of contemporary practice titled “Snehal Shah Architect “by Mapin in 2014 (now out of print), On “Ahmedabad” by Marg Publication showcasing 14th / 15th Century Architecture of the city, "Architectural Models - works of B V Doshi", and latest "Footprints of Vishvakarma - studies on Indian temple architecture and sculpture".

Now he is working on a major publication titled " Water Structures of Western India “which is to be published in year 2023.
