The City School of Architecture (CSA) successfully hosted its second consecutive Research Colloquium on November 30, 2024, at the auditorium of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects. This event served as a valuable platform for academic discourse, bringing together aspiring architects and senior academics.
Selected students from CSA Part I and Part II, along with participants from our esteemed partner institutions—the University of Moratuwa, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, and SLIIT School of Architecture—presented their research findings. Their work contributed to thought-provoking discussions, enriching the academic experience for both presenters and attendees.
Distinguished senior academics from these institutions engaged as discussants, providing valuable insights and fostering critical discussions. The audience, primarily composed of peers, had the opportunity to explore diverse perspectives and research methodologies in architecture and the built environment.
This initiative marks another milestone in CSA’s commitment to strengthening research culture and promoting intellectual exchange within the architectural community. We look forward to continuing this tradition and further enhancing research excellence in the years to come.
